 Kara Lang is featured in our 21st issue! Twenty-one issues down and still counting! We are proud to be sharing the beautiful game with the soccer community as the world’s most popular sport continues to grow in Canada. Since our inaugural issue at the start of the U 20 World Cup in 2007, we have brought our readers thrilling in-depth stories and firsthand accounts from the World Cup in South Africa, the streets of India, Chinlone games in Burma and even a streaker in Vancouver. Along with our playfully styled kids section, recipes, comics and star studded interviews, we offer the chance for players to develop and test their shooting skills against our Free Kick Wall at Whitecaps matches and local tournaments. Amazingly, we also had the wonderful opportunity to give 100 children in East Vancouver the chance to meet Zinedine Zidane, one of the greatest players in history at our free 2 day camp. Thank you to all of you who have contributed to the quality of our publication. A special appreciation goes out to Lindz Marsh who kindly volunteered her editing talents for the past three years. Lindz will be doing her masters and continuing her job at AMSSA starting this winter so she is passing on the torch to make way for a ton of homework and other exciting opportunities. We will miss her immensely. Thank you too to our readers who have offered so many kind words of support over the years. For our twenty first issue, we hope you will enjoy our mix of Kara Lang, Narco Soccer, the rowdy Southsiders and lots of tattoos. Soccer weaves a spiral through all aspects of life on and off the field. Our hopes are to share the power and magic of the game in the lives of millions of players and fans here and abroad.
